Rest 2014. Summer. Mountains, forest, sea - how to choose and what is right for you?

One has only to close his eyes and for a moment imagine the water surface to the horizon, the edge of the mountains or the rustling crowns of trees with rays shining through the foliage, as the tension releases, the headache evaporates, a second wind comes. Nature, even in such an imaginary form, is the best healer. But where is it worth going on vacation? The answer to this question will tell medical geography.
Mountain peaks
Pure and cool mountain air, infused with the aromas of meadow herbs and saturated with air ions, invigorates and improves well-being. This is very useful if your internal batteries are exhausted from chronic fatigue and need urgent recharging. But especially such air is healing in asthma, dermatological problems, as well as in anemia - anemia, since rarefied air stimulates blood formation. Well, it is generally recommended that victims of pollen allergies during the dangerous season (spring-summer) rest mainly in the mountainous regions: in the Urals, the Caucasus, the Balkans, the Carpathians, the Alps or the Pyrenees. Above 1200 m, it is always fresh, there is no heat, and ultraviolet has truly healing properties, which are explained by the optimal ratio between UVB and UVA rays. The former are few, and the latter many: in this combination they cure various skin diseases.Scientists tried to use light with the same characteristics for physiotherapy - there was an improvement, but rather weak and short-term. Natural radiation was 30 times more efficient!
The only “but”: rest in the highlands is contraindicated for hypertensive patients, as well as for those suffering from heart or pulmonary insufficiency - in a rarefied atmosphere they begin to choke. And with coronary heart disease (CHD), you need to avoid areas with elevations.
Tip: At every opportunity, drink from the mountain springs. The water here is really alive - it relieves fatigue, calms nerves, causes a surge of strength, because it flows from melted glaciers. There is no deuterium in it - a special isotope of hydrogen, twice as heavy as ordinary atoms, which is poorly absorbed by cells and complicates metabolic processes. Meltwater allows the body to save a tremendous amount of energy and activate vitality, restores hormonal balance and even, they say, heals infertility.
Beauty and health from forest doctors
Austrian psychotherapists have come up with an unusual way to deal with stress. When emotions begin to roll over, you just need to dial a certain number on the phone and listen to the silence of nature (microphones that transmit the healing sounds of the forest are installed in nature reserves in the south of the country and turn on automatically). The rustling of leaves, the murmur of a stream, the singing of birds in a few minutes will bring the nerves in order no worse than a session of psychotherapy. However, there is nothing surprising in this. The forest really perfectly pacifies and cures of many ailments. At the same time, not only the sounds of nature, but also the trees themselves have a healing effect. Researchers have noticed: in sanatoriums located on the territory of the forest, patients recover better than in urban clinics, and the medical staff in the green zone are less tired. In addition, the air in the forest is cleaner and richer in oxygen, it contains a lot of negative ions and phytoncides - plant antibiotics that destroy harmful bacteria. It is best treated with larch, fir, pine, cedar, birch and aspen. But phytoncides are secreted by whole and healthy trees - from the broken birch branches brought to the house from the forest, there is practically no benefit.
Tip: If your weak point is the throat, lungs or nasopharynx, look for a sanatorium or rest house in a pine forest. Cores and hypertensives breathe better in deciduous forests. Oak forests and birch groves help strengthen immunity, relieve stress, depression and nervous tension. And chestnuts are perfect for fighting insomnia and fears. Do you constantly suffer from migraines? Walk along the linden alleys, but stay away from poplars, otherwise the headache will intensify.
On the sea sand
Who does not like to spend at least a week on the seashore! As soon as you inhale the smell of the surf with your whole chest, a surge of strength is immediately felt, and fatigue disappears without a trace. There is no secret here: clean and moist sea air is full of healing air ions, ozone and minerals, especially anti-stress magnesium. And swimming improves the functions of the musculoskeletal system, forcing all muscle groups to work, and gives a useful load on the cardiovascular system and lungs!
Tip: In order for a vacation on the magical shore to be beneficial for health, the place must also be chosen correctly. So, the Black Sea from Sochi or Turkey are real wet subtropics. For cores and hypertonics it will be too stuffy here! They should pay attention to the Crimea, Anapa or Bulgaria - the sun in these places is softer, and the air is drier. If
you often have a cold, you may be cured by the Red Sea (Egypt, Israel, Jordan, UAE). The dead (by the way, the most salty) sea is an excellent option for those who have problems with the spine, heart, kidneys, stomach, as well as with the nervous and reproductive systems. Mediterranean well heals joint ailments, helps to recover from injuries and operations, but for asthmatics who begin to choke in a hot and humid atmosphere, it is better to relax on the shores of the Adriatic - in Croatia, Montenegro, Italy. Allergy sufferers will feel great on the islands of Malta, Sicily, Crete and Cyprus, where all allergens are blown off to the sea. Have you long dreamed of relaxing in the Maldives in the Indian Ocean or in Thailand? Great, but just plan a trip from October to April when the weather is not too hot and there will be no rainy season. You should not take small children with you - their body is hard to adapt to a different climate. With kids it is better to spend a summer vacation on the warm Sea of Azov.
