Multi-colored feathers “show off” not only exotic birds. Designers liked the unusual trend so much that it has not gone out of fashion for several years.
HUNTING HAIR HOOP
You can’t recognize the usual plastic hair hoop - instead of a flower made of fabric or lace, brightly colored feathers flaunt on it.
Tip: similarly you can make a hat indian for fancy dress.
YOU WILL NEED Hoop covered with fabric approx. 1 cm; a pair of shoulder pads; feathers painted in different colors; finished oblique inlay 2 cm wide, 60 cm long; double-sided adhesive tape 5 mm wide; Sewable Swarovski crystals - 2 triangular and 1 drop-shaped; threads for sewing.
HOW TO MAKE Make a braid with feathers 60 cm long (see step-by-step master class at the end of the article).
Redraw the shoulder pads for the hoop: over the flatter upper edge of a width of approx. 12 cm, on the bottom, thickened edge, approx. 4 cm. Round corners.
Sew a ribbon with feathers on the upper edge of the lining so that the feathers face up. Sew the following rows of braid with feathers in the direction from top to bottom. Sew crystals on the bottom edge of the braid.
Sew the feather trim to the fabric-covered hoop.
BRIGHT POOR
These shoulder straps on the top resemble the wings of an exotic bird. Feathers are simply sewn onto the shoulder pads.
YOU WILL NEED Blouseon; a pair of shoulder pads; the remainder of the jersey is suitable for the color of Bluson size. 40 x 60 cm; painted feathers; ready-made slanting collar, 2 cm wide, 2.20 m long; sewing threads; double-sided adhesive tape 5 mm wide; ruler; 6 small sewn buttons.
STEP 1 So that feathers can be stitched without problems, cut at least a third of their lower part.
STEP 2 Stick the adhesive tape on half of the oblique tape. Glue the feathers alternately in a different sequence of colors.
STEP 3 Wrap a slanting inlay and stitch to the edge. By pressing the feathers with a ruler while sewing, you will greatly facilitate the process of attaching.
Thus, make a braid with feathers 2.20 m long. Wrap the jerseys on the shoulders, for which wrap the jersey around the thickened edge and pin it, then stitch it along the round, flatter edges with a zigzag. Cut off protruding sections of a jersey close to stitches.
On the shoulder pads, sew 6 rows of feather braid, start with a straight thick edge.
Sew on the top 3 buttons to the bottom of the shoulder pads. Try on the shoulder pads, mark the sewing points of the lower parts of the buttons. Sew on the bottom of the buttons.
