Translucent details like a magnet attract the eyes, making the image sophisticated and feminine ...
TWO LAYERS
A maxi skirt made of chiffon on top of the mini can slightly veil the imperfections of the legs.
YOU WILL NEED Chiffon 140 cm wide, length = desired skirt length + 20 cm. Elastic ribbon 3 cm wide, length = hip circumference. Sewing threads, safety pins.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK Cut 2 skirt panels: length = desired length + 8 cm, width: for the front panel = half of the hips + 10 cm, for the back panel = half of the hips + 15 cm. Two parts of the belt 14 cm long, 10 cm wide.
On the front panels of the skirt, iron the seam allowances along the side and bottom cuts to the inside for a width of 1.5 cm, turn them up to a width of 7 mm and sew to the edge. On the details of the belt, a long cut (lower cut) and tuck the ends and stitch. Pull the lateral edges of the panels along the upper edge to the narrow ends of the belt and stitch it to the edge. On the panels of the skirt and the details of the belt, iron the top edge to the wrong side by 1 cm, then iron the edge 3.5 cm inward, sew into the edge, while leaving a hole in the seam to stretch the elastic. Thread the gum with a pin, gum ends after trying to grind. Sew the hole in the seam.WITH SPARK
Thanks to chiffon, an ordinary t-shirt becomes special.
SO TRANSPARENT INSERT APPEARS ON THE BACK
YOU WILL NEED T-shirt, chiffon approx.2 m, 20 cm wide, centimeter tape, pins, scissors, "magic" tailor's chalk, sewing threads.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK At a distance of 1.5 cm from the front neck, draw an alignment line for the chiffon. On a T-shirt, measure the length of the back and the marked neckline. From the chiffon, cut a strip 13 cm wide, about 10 cm longer than the double back length + neckline measurement, see Step 1.
Iron long sections on the chiffon to the inside, 1.5 cm wide, tuck in half and stitch to the edge. On the strip and neckline, mark the lines of the middle. Fill a strip on a T-shirt - on the back in parallel, with the slices of the chiffon strip in the middle of the back from the desired depth of cut to the bottom overlapping one another to a width of approx. 7 mm and chop. Cut the t-shirt along the chiffon strip, see Step 2 and Step 3.
Mark the depth of the neckline. Remove the pins. Chiffon strip 7 mm wide to the edge of the back. Strip a chiffon strip around on a T-shirt to the edge.
Trim the bottom edge of the chiffon so that it is 1.5 cm longer than the T-shirt, iron the ends of the chiffon inside out, tuck and stitch to the edge.
STEP 1 Cut out a 13 cm wide strip from chiffon (the length depends on the length of the T-shirt). To keep the strip flat, mark up by cutting a chiffon and pulling a couple of threads.
STEP 2 Along the longitudinal sections, perform the hemming. Pin the strip to the neckline, aligning the midlines with a seam allowance of 1.5 cm.
STEP 3 Pin the strip to the back in two parallel rows, cut the T-shirt along the stripes. Stitch the stripes. On the strips, make the middle seam and hem the hem.
