Due to the restrained decor, the brooch is minimalistic and universal.

The main decoration of this brooch is an applique made of felt of the same color as the base sewn with threads in tone. Due to the fact that the entire brooch comes out monochrome, the embossed applique looks expressive. You can choose your own pattern - floral, abstract geometric and so on. It is only necessary that the pattern can be conveyed in a single-colored application. I decided to make a brooch in the form of a stylized gem of a traditional cut.

You will need:

- thin felt;

- threads for sewing in tone;

- a thin needle for hand sewing;

- scissors for fabric;

- paper scissors;

- paper and pencil;

- marker or felt-tip pen;

- awl;

- thin cardboard;

- pin fastener for brooches;

- durable adhesive suitable for textiles.

Step 1

Draw a full-size sketch.

Step 2

We restore the picture and cut it along the outer contour.

Then cut it along the lines. So that the lines are not noticeable on the applique, we will turn these parts over on the other side.

Step 4

Now you need to arrange the parts in the same order, but adding the same distances between them.So that everything is smooth, you can focus on the division of the line. First, lay out the top row. We plant each detail on a small drop of glue. Parts must be fixed so that the glue is not visible.

Then we lay out and glue the second row.

Step 5

We sew all the details around the perimeter with small stitches over the edge of the thread in tone.

Step 6

Having finished, we cut out the brooch, stepping back from all sides by 0.4-0.5 mm.

Step 7

We cut out 2 more of the same details, using the first as a template.

Step 8

We cut out the part from cardboard a little less than a brooch. Glue the cardboard part from the inside to the felt part with application. On top we glue the felt part without application.
