The main types of collars

Step 1

Cut out the detail of the collar with allowances for all cuts of 1.5 cm. Transfer all the control marks to the fabric.

Important! In this case, the collar part is not duplicated by the gasket.

Step 2

Fold the collar along the fold line with the front side inwards. Chop and grind the short sections and the lower sections to the transverse marks. Bind at the beginning and end of the line.

Step 3

Cut the seam allowances close to the stitches, cut diagonally at the corners. At transverse marks, cut allowances close to the last stitches of the stitches - be extremely careful not to damage the stitch.

Step 4

Turn the collar to the front side, sweep the edges with manual oblique stitches and iron.

Embossing is the fastening of the grooved and inverted edges of the part with temporary stitches to preserve a certain shape.

Step 5

Chip open sections of the stitching of the collar.

Step 6

Sweep the collar into the neck between the transverse marks, aligning the line of the middle of the back on the collar with the middle seam of the back. In this case, the longer end of the collar lies on the right shelf.
