The secret of this bag is that at the same time it looks “knitted”, and keeps its shape perfectly, does not stretch. How to achieve this - read in the master class.

If you have an unnecessary sweater with a smooth or embossed pattern or a large knit knitted fabric, you can sew such a cozy, original, cute and comfortable bag out of it. And so that the bag does not stretch and holds its shape well, the canvas must be strengthened with a dense non-woven or doubler. The lining will give extra strength - in this case it is sewn from linen. For pens, a regular strap is suitable.

It is convenient to carry a laptop and other working trifles in such a bag. If desired, you can add a velcro or buttons.

Work sequence:

1. Cut two rectangles from a sweater or knit fabric as shown in the photo. Before this, it is better to wash and dry the knitwear, spreading it out on a horizontal surface so that the pattern lies as evenly as possible.

2. Strengthen the knit with non-woven or doubler. Glue the material from the inside of the knitwear. Before that, straighten the knitwear: its pattern is fixed with duplicate material, so you need to align it as best as possible. After gluing the material, trim the edges of the rectangles: the corners should be straight, the details should be the same.

3. Cut two rectangles similar to the knitted fabric parts from the lining fabric.

4. Fold the knit parts with their faces inward and sew on the bottom and sides. Use an overlock or zigzag seam. Fold the details of the lining in the same way and sew together, leaving an un sewn section on the underside, as shown in the photo.

5. Turn out the lining and place it in the main part of the bag, as shown in the photo. Sew both parts along the top edge.

6. Turn the bag out through the hole at the bottom of the lining. Sew the hole on the machine or manually with a blind stitch.

7. Fasten the strap, fold in half and cut as shown in the photo. Mark the position of the handles and sew the handles to the bag. Done!
