Fashion trends spring / summer season 2013 in the collection of Russian designers Anna and Alexey Borodulin
I never loved autumn! With its slush, rains and wind. We have so little summer and sun, and here also autumn, a transitional period in weather, mood ... But we must pay tribute to this time of year. The brightness and variety of colors that it brings with it is only comparable to the colors of tropical gardens. All possible shades of red, yellow, orange, brown are the warmest colors! And there is something else that has added me positive in relation to the fall ...
In spring, I was lucky to become the winner of the anniversary quiz dedicated to the 25th anniversary of BURDA in Russia and to attend the FWR show of the fall / winter 2012–2013 collection by Russian designers Anna and Alexey Borodulin. And what was my surprise and joy to receive from BURDA editor-in-chief Marianna Makarova, an invitation to show the new BORODULIN'S S / S 2013 "DIONISY" collection at the Mercedes-Benz FWR. I was in anticipation for almost a month. Mindful of my promise, inspired by the autumn-winter collection of the Borodulin, to sew a dress from Pavlo-Posad shawls, I set to work. Not just it was given to me. No, no, it's not about complexity, but rather about the wrong model. But the result was worth it!
I wanted to tell right away what awaits us next spring and summer. But I understood that in the fall, when her colors were already wiped off with cold, we turned our eyes to the approaching New Year. At first it seems to us so far away. But in November, you understand that if you start to sew a dress RIGHT NOW, then by December 31 you will have time;) And I decided not to rush into the story.
The first thoughts about spring and summer come to us with the first news of the announcement of the February BURDA. Which opens the veil of our favorite seasons, flight of imagination, warmth, new fabrics and, as a result, new outfits from them;)
So now is just the time to talk about how our designers see the upcoming new season!
The BORODULIN'S S / S 2013 "DIONISY" collection was shown at the Manege. The atmosphere, as always kept in a pleasant excitement. And again, it all started with goosebumps. Light, voice-overs, music, VIP-places (which allow you to see the details) and here it is - the breath of summer in the fall!
The new collection BORODULIN'S S / S 2013 "DIONISY" continues the Russian theme in the work of designers. When it was created, Anna and Alexei Borodulin were inspired by the frescoes of Dionysius, embodied in the wall icon painting, which are preserved in the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin Ferapontov Monastery.
Dionysius is one of the prominent artists who embody the Golden Age of icon painting of the XIV-XV centuries. in Russia. Its murals are the only monument in Russia with a full cycle of murals preserved in its original form from the half-millennium of the 11th-15th centuries. Russian medieval culture. The frescoes of the Ferapontov Monastery are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, are included in the State Code of Especially Valuable Objects of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia.
All the beauty of the inspired frescoes of Dionysius served as an endless inspiration for designers. Elements of frescoes are present in prints of fabric patterns created by Anna and Alexei Borodulin. Which enhances the Russian spirit of the presented collection.
Despite all the variety of ideas that designers offer us, the Borodulin's collections stand out against their background. Russian style is quite difficult to carry "into the people." And Anna and Alexei do it pretty well. They masterfully modernize it!
Flowing and weightless silk and chiffon. Lightweight linen and cotton. Favorite jersey designers. The combination of pastel and natural colors of the Russian north fascinates with its beauty. It was these colors that most inspired Dionysius in writing the wall frescoes of the Ferapontov Monastery. And it is these colors that formed the basis of the collection's fabric palette.
Cold and beautiful turquoise is a kind of regality of images. The color of chocolate gives the collection goodness and warmth.Pastel colors - softness and tenderness!
Handmade jewelry succinctly complements the images created by designers, giving them light luxury. Traced elements of shawl motifs.
The new collection includes dresses, sundresses and floor skirts made of silk and chiffon. The effect of amber (or degrade) in the tissues adds grace, weightlessness and extraordinary beauty to the created images! I like such fabrics very much. Of these, you can sew the simplest dress, and it will be beautiful! And with complex draperies, thereby enhancing the effect of amber, and the dress from this will turn out to be simply luxurious!
Overalls and trousers made of linen. Jackets with "loose" shelves from light jersey. Blouses, tunics and shirt dresses made of thin cotton. Extra trendy kimono sleeves!
Linen and cotton models have once again confirmed my love for these fabrics. I have always been indifferent to them. But when you see them in action, attachment to these tissues intensifies. And you understand that this is an opportunity for a riot of imagination of creative people.
The unchanging brand name of designers is sleeves. The cut, which is original, recognizable and unique!
Unlike previous works by designers, male models are also presented in the new collection:
Having read in advance in the program what they will be, I was waiting for them with great interest. Honestly, the impression is not unique. But I liked it. Variations on a CASUAL theme. Everything is absolutely wearable in life! Easy, beautiful, relaxed, free, fashionable!
The relevance of the presented collection is obvious! Fashionable colors. Clear lines, simple but refined cut. Comfortable and stylish collection models. Femininity and romantic sexuality of images. All you need to be trendy in the spring and summer of 2013!
Carefully examining each model, I tried them on myself. I would wear this dress or this jumpsuit. And most importantly where. Some images instantly sunk into my soul, and I wanted to sew them! But as? Of course, beloved BURDA immediately comes to the rescue. The pages of which I immediately began to leaf through mentally in search of similar models that can be taken as a basis. And of course there are "intersections"! How else! BURDA keeps up to date! Keeping up with world catwalks and collections of famous designers is not a single step! Letting us create what we see, see every day, what we desire!

P. S. I take an autograph from Anna and Alexei on a copy of the August BURDA.
Returning, I heard in the crowd: "Where did she get this dress from scarves? Was it like that in the winter collection?" ;)
